South Korean actress Yoon Jung-hee, played the leading role in the film “Poetry”, presented with the award of the French Government – the Diploma of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters.
This award is given by the Minister of Culture of France for his special contribution to world culture. South Korean film director Lee Chang-Don “Poems” was awarded two prizes for best screenplay at the 63-cm Cannes Film Festival and the two main prizes of the 35 th Hong Kong Film Festival – best director and best screenplay.
Leaving on French cinema screens in August 2010, the film enjoys continued popularity of spectators, and the French Film Centre recommended Yoon Jeong-hee for this award. In 2001, renowned Korean pianist Paik Cohn has also won the Diploma of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters.
